Next week we start our Community Conversations series which is a chance to hear more about the Aylesbury Gardenway from the design team, and to discuss the possibilities and opportunities related to different themes.
Join in to share your views, suggestions and ideas that will help to develop a design brief for the Gardenway.
The Community Conversations are as follows:
Nature, climate change and history (Monday 7 December at 6pm – 7.30pm)
How can the Gardenway better support nature and biodiversity? Would you like more natural spaces, trees and wildlife in your neighbourhood? How can we celebrate, yet protect Aylesbury’s archaeology and heritage? What action can we take to help save our planet?
Health and community (Tuesday 8 December at 6pm – 7.30pm)
How can the Aylesbury Gardenway encourage healthier, more active lifestyles? How could we improve and create new spaces for sport, play and community activities? Could the Gardenway provide opportunities for local art and cultural activities?
Moving and connections (Wednesday 9 December at 6pm –7.30pm)
How can the Gardenway encourage more people, of all ages and backgrounds, to walk, cycle and wheel around Aylesbury? What wider connections from the Gardenway to local villages, neighbourhoods and key destinations could we make?
Designing the Gardenway (Monday 14 December at 6pm – 7.30pm)
What could the Gardenway walking, cycling and wheeling route look like? How can it support different people with different mobility needs? How should the Gardenway change with the surrounding environment?
We’ll discuss all of these themes and questions (and more!) through the Community Conversations series. Come along to hear more and to tell us what you think.
The Community Conversations will take place online via Zoom video conferencing.
